Moor Place, Much Hadham

Building an exclusive lifestyle with nature at its heart

17 Luxury homes at Moor Place Much Hadham. Back in 2010, we purchased Moor Place, Much Hadham, Hertfordshire.

Moor Place set in the centre of Much Hadham was originally a country estate incorporating the main Georgian villa of approx 25.000 sq ft. It is set on 60 acres of formal gardens and parkland. There is also a Georgian Coach House with stables approximately 11.000 sq ft. A group of traditional and contemporary barns and ancillary buildings/ Also a garden house within a 2-acre walled garden all sitting in approximately 800 acres of Hertfordshire’s best countryside.

Our objective was to obtain planning consent to convert and restore all the buildings within the estate and restore the Moore Place villa to its former glory.

Starting in October 2010 the planning process took 3 years with us obtaining full consent in October 2013 for 16 homes plus the main house, the homes varied between 1100 sq ft up to 5000 sq ft plus the main house at 25000 sq ft and all within historic buildings such as milking parlour, stables, grain barns, coach house and gardeners cottages, even an Apple Store and an early (pre-mains electric) generator building! All the buildings are from the 17th to 20th century mainly of the Georgian and Victorian period.

We started the build in January 2014. We built all the new homes and completed them by late 2016 or early 2017. All sales had been completed by December 2017.

The development now forms a stunning collection of family homes whilst all retaining their “farm yard” character.

Throughout the development process, our Managing Director, Kevin oversaw the project and worked closely with Ian Abrams architects to bring the vision to life. Emphasising efficient use of the site while seamlessly integrating with the existing landscape has been a priority for us. We have strived to reflect the historical character of the farmyard, with the layout thoughtfully determined by the positioning of the heritage buildings.

These houses have all now been sold. But we have some lovely properties available now Click here for more information.
