Building an exclusive lifestyle with nature at its heart

St Peters Street, St Albans. Redevelopment of a Grade 11 listed building.

We repurposed two historic houses dating back to 1829 into three luxury residences. Located opposite St Peters Church, 103–105 St Peter’s Street represents one of the earliest examples of classical architecture in St Albans. Designed by George Smith, the renowned architect behind St Albans Town Hall.

Foxley Group revitalised it turning the dilapidated offices into three beautifully restored Georgian townhouses. Additionally we built ten new mews houses on the former car park at the rear of the property Phase 2. Details of this are available in a separate post Click Here.

The iconic Grade 11 listed office building was occupied by a local accountancy firm for 30 years and had been vacant since 2014. It was falling into a state of semi-dereliction and for many years it remained unoccupied. Our founder Kevin recognised its potential and with the help of a structured finance facility with Paragon Development Finance and Apollo Capital we acquired it. With clever redesign and renovation we transformed Number 103 “The White House” into a 5700 sq.ft four-storey, five bedroom residence. This still holds the distinction of being the most expensive property in the AL1 area with a current valuation of £4.2 Million.

Whilst number 105 was converted into two elegant two-storey homes. House 2 “Bowgate House 2549 sq.ft and house 3 “St Peters Cottage 1706 sq.ft.

The redevelopment was shortlisted for an award with St Albans Civic Society.
